After almost three years of thinking, discussing and trying, it now looks like a system-wide webmetrics effort will be launched into public broadcasting on June 30. With a $25,000 investment (funds generated by the recent conference) IMA hired two experienced web developers: Bill Haenel, principal of Haenel Communications Technologies (who many of you know from his work with North Country Public Radio), and David Hoffman, principal of Abacus Productions, Inc., a database specialist with extensive experience in the creation of large-scale online/offline services. David and Bill will discuss the outline of their approach in two webinars scheduled for May 17 (IMA members) and May 22 (non-IMA members). Both Webinars will be held at 3 PM.
